Above and Beyond Award

This award honors the importance of employee recognition. Research has shown that receiving a compliment, words of recognition, and praise can help individuals feel more fulfilled, boost their self-esteem, and trigger positive emotions. One awardee will be selected randomly from the list of all nominators and recipients of the Positively Hokie Awards annually.

Eligibility:

Employee must have nominated or received a Positively Hokie Award. Employee must be in good standing with no personnel issues. Individual employees are only eligible to be the recipient of any division award (except the Positively Hokie award) once every three years

Award Process:

One name will be selected randomly from the list of nominators and recipients of the Positively Hokie Awards annually. Once a name has been selected, the ABS Chief of Staff and/or ABS HR Manager will confirm the employee is in good standing and has the support of their supervisor to receive the award. If the proposed winner does not meet eligibility, subsequent names will be selected until a winner is identified.
