How long have you worked at Virginia Tech? 

I’ve been with mail services for about eleven years now, starting out at residential mail, where I spent a few years before moving over to departmental mail.

What is your favorite building or area on the Virginia Tech campus?  

My favorite area on campus are the practice rooms in the back of Squires Student Center, I’m a big music lover and I enjoy hearing the various instruments playing all sorts of different songs. A close second would be the duck pond, it’s a really lovely spot.

Who is the most famous person you have met?

The most famous person I’ve ever met is a musician named Michael Franti; I met him after attending one of his concerts, and he was one of the coolest humans I’ve met. He was really down to earth and just an all-around cool guy.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?  

The best piece of advice I’ve ever received is to never take yourself or anyone else for that matter too seriously, life is entirely too short to get caught up in the details. Live and learn the best you can every chance you get.

What is your favorite way to spend a weekend or day off? 

My favorite way to spend a weekend or day off is to spend time with my three pugs, play guitar, and listen to music. I enjoy being outside and playing disc golf or fishing as well.
