Positively Hokie Award: Lisa St. Clair, Environmental Health and Safety

"In honor of Phlebotomists Recognition Week (2/13-2/17) we would like to recognize Lisa St. Clair for her phlebotomy role at the EHS Occupational Health Clinic. Lisa was originally hired to schedule medical services, but stepped up to become a phlebotomist when the need was identified. She was trained for this new role in 1998 and eventually worked to become a certified phlebotomist. Having her voluntarily accept and meet this challenge helped the EHS clinic become a one-stop shop. Our clients appreciate Lisa's wonderful personality and very gentle technique. She is an asset to EHS, our clinic, and the university."
